Analysis of Observables in Chern-simons Perturbation Theory

چکیده
Chern-Simons Theory with gauge group SU(N) is analyzed from a perturbation theory point of view. The vacuum expectation value of the unknot is computed up to order g6 and it is shown that agreement with the exact result by Witten implies no quantum correction at two loops for the two-point function. In addition, it is shown from a perturbation theory point of view that the framing dependence of the vacuum expectation value of an arbitrary knot factorizes in the form predicted by Witten. ⋆ E-mail: [email protected]

Chern-Simons Field Theories with Non-semisimple Gauge Group of Symmetry
Subject of this work is a class of Chern-Simons field theories with nonsemisimple gauge group, which may well be considered as the most straightforward generalization of an Abelian Chern-Simons field theory. As a matter of fact these theories, which are characterized by a non-semisimple group of gauge symmetry, have cubic interactions like those of non-abelian Chern-Simons field theories, but a...
متن کاملDeligne-Beilinson cohomology and abelian links invariants
For the abelian Chern-Simons field theory, we consider the quantum functional integration over the Deligne-Beilinson cohomology classes and we derive the main properties of the observables in a generic closed orientable 3-manifold. We present an explicit pathintegral non-perturbative computation of the Chern-Simons links invariants in the case of the torsion-free 3-manifolds S, S × S and S × Σg.

In this paper we show that a particular twist of N = 4 super Yang-Mills in three dimensions with gauge group SU(2) possesses a set of classical vacua corresponding to the space of flat connections of the complexified gauge group SL(2, C). The theory also contains a set of topological observables corresponding to Wilson loops wrapping non-trivial cycles of the base manifold. This moduli space an...
متن کاملFermionization and Convergent Perturbation Expansions in Chern-simons Gauge Theory
We show that Chern-Simons gauge theory with appropriate cutoffs is equivalent, term by term in perturbation theory, to a Fermionic theory with a nonlocal interaction term. When an additional cutoff is placed on the Fermi fields, this Fermionic theory gives rise to a convergent perturbation expansion. This leads us to conjecture that Chern-Simons gauge theory also gives rise to convergent pertur...
متن کاملOn the quantum equivalence of commutative and noncommutative Chern-Simons theories at higher orders
We continue our investigation of the quantum equivalence between commutative and noncommutative Chern-Simons theories by computing the complete set of two-loop quantum corrections to the correlation function of a pure open Wilson line and an open Wilson line with a field strength insertion, on the noncommutative side in a covariant gauge. The conjectured perturbative equivalence between the fre...
